Mr. Theleman's State Webquest

Introduction    Task    Process    Assessment    Resources    Teachers Help

Welcome Teachers!

The purpose of this webquest is to integrate technology within the fourth grade Social Studies curriculum. This webquest is designed to take place over several class periods. Each class has a different pace, so the teacher will need to decide how much time is needed. I would allow at least four one hour classes. The teacher will act as a facilitator or guide, especially during the research portion. The teacher should remind students of "safe surfing" techniques. The teacher should be comfortable using the Internet and PowerPoint. This webquest is designed for use in a computer lab or with a mobile laptop lab.

Technology Needs

1.  Computer lab or laptop cart with Internet access. (Internet content-filter is mandated by law.)

2.  Presentation software like Microsoft PowerPoint.

3.  Desktop Publishing software like Microsoft Publisher or Word Processing software like Microsoft Word.

4.  Networked printer. Preferably color.

Handouts/Worksheets
